The Hotel San Daniele is a few steps away from the main piazza, a small room enclosed within the town council building, where the Biblioteca Guarneriana, Friuli’s oldest library with its illuminated landscapes, is located; the Cathedral with works by Tiepolo; the seventeenth century palazzo del Monte di Pietà; and the Church of Sant’Antonio Abate with the most beautiful circle of Renaissance frescoes in Friuli. The Hotel, completely restructured by the architect Alessio Princic, presents itself to its guests totally renovated and with a modern design style: it has a spacious and welcoming lobby characterised by the harmony of colours in the furnishings; 24 bedrooms across three stories which can also be accessed by lift; and a new meeting room . The hotel has always been primarily a destination for business guests, thanks to the presence of important local businesses and to its barycentric position in relation to cities such as Udine (22 Km away) and Pordenone (43 Km). San Daniele is in the province of Udine in North East Italy, just 80 minutes from Venice airport. The Friuli Collinare town is famous for the prosciutto crudo produced there and which the annual “Aria di Festa” festival, an event attracting international visitors at the end of July, is dedicated to.
The Hotel San Daniele has 24 bedrooms, divided into three categories: Classic doubles, Suites and Family Rooms.
They are characterised by modern and essential furnishings, some of galvanised sheet iron, and headboards made of fired hollow flat tiles, a material which belongs to the history of our area’s architectural language. Some look out onto the village’s characteristic streets, others have views of the surrounding hills and mountains. The colours yellow, green and red not only characterise and distinguish the three floors where the bedrooms are located, but can also be seen in the ribbons with room numbers next to the doors and in the blackout curtains in the bedrooms.
The 18 square metre Classic double rooms are characterised by modern and essential furnishings where pieces in galvanised sheet iron and the soft colours and materials of the headboard harmoniously co-exist. Classic double rooms include:
For guests who want more space to relax in, a Suite is the only possible choice. These 27 square metre rooms combine rich furnishings with a living area and comfortable settee where one can peacefully spend a whole day relaxing or working. If booked in advance, a Suite can be used as a Family Room to house two or more people. Suites include:
The 27 square metre family rooms are ideal for housing families of up to four people. As well as a double bed with tiled headboard (tiles are widely used for this purpose in Friuli), Suites include a living area with a settee which can be made into a comfortable bed. Family Rooms include:
